NZ has 5 listed species of Raptor. The New Zealand Falcon or Karearea is an uncommon endemic (only found in NZ) bird. The Australasian Harrier or Kahu is native and a common sight over NZ farmland. 3 others, The Black Kite, Black Falcon, and Nankeen Kestrel are vagrants from Australia.
