Picture of a pair of Australian Rainbow Lorikeet.

So I've found another Australian birding photo to post today. Its of a pair of Australian Rainbow Lorikeet. Photographed in Melbourne earlier this year.

As you can see in the picture Lorikeet are very beautiful birds, and Rainbow Lorikeet especially so. I really love not just the mix of colours, but the red beaks and red eyes. I like this photo also because it shows the colours in the wings. Aussie really does have a fantastic assortment of parrots.
