New Zealand Scaup photo.
As promised another birding photo posted today. New Zealand Scaup are beautiful little endemic (only found in NZ) diving ducks. This photo is not a great "descriptive" image, but I really like this shot. It shows some character of the little duck. Usually you'll see see pictures of them sitting on the water with oversized looking heads. Like the Tui (as you can see here) they have more colour in them than you might normally see. Their bright yellow is pretty also.
The water in this photo is a little dirty. But I don't have time to clean up the image. So enjoy as it. :-)
